Can anyone give me advise how and where I can find the best and cheapest flights from London to India?Which airline has got the best deals for cheap flights from London to India?
I went with Air India and had a very pleasant surprise. It was fine.I booked through Travelocity.com,but booking direct with the airline is just as good usually. I just checked Air India's website and found 拢334 fare for London-Mumbai for next January,which is ok.July fares were not showing,so probably too early to book yet. The flights were fine. Food and service on board were good,with a choice of Indian or western meals,and the cabin staff were really helpful. I totally messed up in Mumbai on the way back,over a luggage problem from a connecting flight,and missed the flight back to London,even after they'd held the plane for twenty minutes. What an Embarrassment! My fault entirely,but the ground staff were very kind and sympathetic and booked me onto the next day's flight at no extra cost. Can't imagine BA doing that! I had a month in southern India,mostly in Kerala,and really enjoyed it, but the Keralan food was sometimes too hot and spicy even for northern Indians!.There were plenty of western-style restuarants,though,of a high standard,and very cheap.
