From Calgary or Saskatoon, Westjet or Air Canada will have the best deals. Sometimes they have $69 each way flights, keeping in mind that doesn't include any tax.

That sounds way too cheap. The only way that could have been done is if they got seats on a charter. Charter companies do exactly that ... they charter a plane with hopes of filling every seat with their package deals. When the flight day nears and they have empty seats it is better to sell the seats at discount rather than fly empty because they pay the same amount for a full or empty plane. Check travel agents up there for Tour companies that use charters rather than scheduled airlines.Where can I find cheap flights to Las Vegas from Calgary or Saskatoon?
Your best bet is to get a hotel/flight package together. WestJet is cheap and much more comfortable than a charter. I have done 4 star packages for 4 nights for under $500 from Toronto, so I am sure you can get something much less since you are closer to Vegas. (and if you go to a lower star hotel).
That does seem ridiculously cheap!
I use Hotwire or Travelocity. They usually have the best prices, and I also save money by getting a 2% rebate.
I don't know about a flight like that for $100, but they do have good deals.
Periodically airlines like Southwest have that kind of deal, usually for a short twenty-four-hour period and limited seats. Try Southwest, Alaska, Spirit and Alligaint
