Check out airtran.com and click on their specials. I've traveled from Ft. Lauderdale to Detroit a number of times and frequently get their updates on line. A short time ago they had rates as low $54 each way! Good luck!
I recently "Named My Own Price" via Priceline. Saved $111.00 dollars on airfare.

Check it out, if you have the flexibility to leave/arrive when they want you to.Looking for really cheap flights to orlando from detroit and back... Can you get a better deal right before?
In 3 weeks, it's actually cheapest on USAir at $195 roundtrip; Northwest comes in second--and with nonstop flights--for $227, and AirTran at $249. These prices include all taxes and booking fees. With only 3 weeks, Detroit to Florida in winter, I would not wait to book, because the fare is more likely to go up rather than down. Best to book direct from the airline: http://www.usair.com $195 is the fare to beat.
Here is a very good site.

Keep checking, it depends how full the planes are weather the prices go up or down. Empty plane=cheaper prices.

Good Luck
