Can you buy cheap flights at an airport?

I am thinking of visiting a friend in France on a bit of a whim, but don't have a lot of spare cash. Can you get really cheap flights if you just turn up at the airport? I need to fly tomorrow so can't get the cheap advance deals from easyjet et al. I will have no luggage and will only be staying overnight. Can you buy cheap flights at an airport?
Nope. Best you can hope for tomorrow from Heathrow is about 拢193 on BA. BD if full and Air France don't do a fare much under 拢230 return (even though they are empty - funny outfit!) Luton and Easyjet you know are full in the very cheap seats and RyanAir - Well, it will cost you more to get to ruddy Stansted than it will to get to Paris. You should think of places like Paris Amsterdam, Brussels etc - anywhere that is within about 1 hour or so flying time as a commuter place - so you have to avoid the rush hour. A flight to Paris at 0630 will not leave you much change from 拢300! If there are any cheaper flights, they will be midday-ish - it is exactly the same principle as on the trains. But not tomorrow, sorry. You are looking at a Friday in the busiest working period of the year.
I haven't heard of it, but you can go to Priceline.com and name what you are willing to pay.Can you buy cheap flights at an airport?
Aer Lingus Airline is cheap, I would still recommend booking it online for the best price. You get a booking number and then pick up your boarding pass at the airport.
Probably not. When you show up at the airport, they will sell you whatever seats are left, and as most ticket agents at the airport are airline staff, they won't 'throw' away money by selling "cheap" tickets. The sooner you can book in advance, the better the chance of getting seat sales.
