Where can I find cheap flights in the USA?

My boyfriend lives in Salt Lake City, Utah and I live near Detroit, Michigan. I usually just use sites like www.cheaptickets.com to find decently priced flights. Does anyone know how to find cheap flights either in advance or immediately?Where can I find cheap flights in the USA?
Hello, travelocity has a cool feature that you might like. Once you log in you can set up alerts. You can pick up to 5 destinations and you can set up alerts based on prices. You can pick a price point and it will alert you when it meets it or goes up by an amount that you pick. ex: if you put in 600 bucks from bos to hnl and the price drops 20 bucks it will email you immediately. Same goes for if the price goes up. Expedia has some nice features too and is very user friendly. A search engine that searches many sites all at once is www.qixo.com. Many of the travel search engines don't search the discount carriers like jet blue so you will want to go to their websites directly for good deals. Don't forget your frequent flier miles when traveling! Check with your CC or your Debit card company to see what there programs offer, who knows you might get a free ticket if you fly enough or spend enough money on your cards. Key bank is a good debit card to have b/c they let you buy money orders which you can redeposit back into your account that you can do over and over again to get miles. I know it's cheap but i get free tix all the time doing it. Just a thought anyway. Sometimes you can get frequent flier miles off ebay real cheap but they have been cracking down on that lately, but it's worth a look. They also have people on there looking to give away gift certificates or unused travel vouchers on there too which might benefit you? Ya just never know i guess.
