Are there any cheap flights from houston to pittsburgh?

usually flights in this category cost around 300 or less, but now its 400 for the cheapest for a dec 18 - jan 2 flight. Why is it so costly now, and would I be better off waiting a bit to buy a ticket or just take the 400 one now. I've done this similar flight before for a 100 dollars less so I'm confused why it's so expensive NOW.Are there any cheap flights from houston to pittsburgh?

After the first week of December, ticket prices tend to steadily rise and get especially expensive the few days surrounding Christmas.
