I am going on a round trip in the States in May, and need to book my return flight home from New York, one way only. Which website would you say has the best offers? Why is a return flight cheaper than a one way with many airlines by the way???

One thing to remember is everyone has a different idea on what is "cheap".....and many of those well-known "major" travel sites are owned by the same company, which means normally not much differences in their prices. And the problem with just checking those sites only, is you might miss out on great deals that may be available on another travel site!

You have to think of these online travel sites like grocery stores - they all sell the same thing, the only difference is their price. SO - Why pay more for the same thing the other guys are selling???

It gives you many options for your trip and you can even pick what sort of price range you will look at. Why not find a good source online to do most of the work for you. I did some searching online and came up with some phone numbers that usually gets me the cheapest air fares possible. But you have to know where to look. I am really happy that I can now find cheap airline tickets whenever I need to go on vacation of go see friends.
