Hi all you need is your passport, no photos, bank papers or anything. Just show up with your passport pay $15 bucks and u get the 2 entry stamps right after u get off the plane at the airport....not a bad idea to go to your local bookstore and buy a tour book on Egypt, and read thru it. Or search the internet here and there for articles. Have a nice trip



SOrry almost forgot about flights. go to www.kayak.com and it will search all the major travel sites and invidual airlines for you, saves alot of time. Tickets in Oct should be about 1000 bucks.

I agree with Melvin. Get visa at the Egyptian embassy in USA,cause this is better than get it,when u get there. About the tickets; i always order on line: www.cheptickets.com

1. Eat Mediterranean food its very nice especially their appetizers



2. See the Pyramid and Spinx. The Spinx is very near from the first Pyramid so just walk no need to take a camel or horse which will cost you about 100 EGP or more.



3. Smoke Sheesha (Water Pipe) Melon and Apple is what I recommend



4. Buy souvenir... try to haggle usually u can get a Sheesha at about 30 EGP and magnets at about 5 EGP

When entering inside a tourist spot like Pyramid area usually people are very friendly so NEVER accept gifts, as they will force you to pay more than the market price (as a gift they will say and you need to shed a minimum of 100 EGP). NEVER ask to take your picture or if they ask to be taken they will charge you for that too, just steal some shot of their camels if you want. Never entertain or ask to be entertain by people as more likely they will SCAM you with sweet talk.



If you are in Cairo get HYATT as this hotel is beside the NILE and the view is breathtaking... El Kalili is a Divisoria type place, EL Azar is a park that is very nice at night and ofcourse the Pyramid of Geza about 20 - 30 minutes ride from Hyatt hotel.
