Cheap flights to london from edinburugh?

two of us wanted to travel in august around the 16th for a few days...do you know where we could look for good deals?

thanks!Cheap flights to london from edinburugh?
Looks like Easyjet is the cheapest flight between EDI and LON, return, around you travel dates -- 拢51.98. http://www.skyscanner.net/flights/edi/lo鈥?/a>
On the net try Ryanair, Flybe, or Monarch.Cheap flights to london from edinburugh?
flybe is the cheapest
Cheap domestic short-haul flights cost the Earth - in both senses. I started a petition a few months ago to have them banned - it's garnering quite a bit of support.

Did you know that, kg-for-km a flight from London to Edinburgh emits more CO2 than one from London to New York? Flying from London to Edinburgh is around 100kg CO2 per passenger - one way. That's 200kg return!

Going by train is not only greener - it's cheaper too! A Standard Advance return is only 拢81(拢54 if you have a railcard).

None of the airlines mentioned by the other respondents actually fly into EDI (did they actually bother checking?! Nope - just here for an easy 2 points!) the only one I know of which does is EasyJet. A sensibly timed departure from LGW costs 拢65pp and the return 拢60pp. Total: - 拢125pp.

2x拢81 - 拢162 - saving 拢88 (if you have railcards this saving increases to 拢142).

If you're thinking of flying because it's quicker - you're only saving a couple of hours - do you really want to add 100kg/hr CO2 to the environment?

Best of all, the train is carbon neutral!

Let's see which would rather: - Save 拢71 (I have a disabled railcard) and adding 200kg CO2 to the atmosphere or save a couple of hours, but pay 拢35.50 per hour for the privilege of that saving...?

Use your brain - go by train! Simple!
From Gatwick - Easyjet and Prices are pretty good, depending on time of travel, but booking now you should get soemthing reasonable.

From Heathrow - BA and BMI. You may get a decent BMI fare, but this route tends to be expensive

From Luton/Stanstead - Easyjet. Generally the cheapest.

Ryanair, Flybe and Monarch don't operate the London to Edinburgh route - though they do all fly from Edinburgh
have you tried the trains? GNER
2p return, per person with no tax or charges added on top, you really do pay just 2p.

Thats with Ryanair, but its from Glasgow Prestwick to London Stansted....
